CEO Peer Advisory Groups in NYC

YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT’S LIKE TO BE THE SMARTEST PERSON IN THE ROOM. THIS IS DIFFERENT.

There is a specific kind of loneliness that comes with being CEO. Your board, your team, the people closest to you, all know some of the story, but no one has the whole picture. So you carry the pressure, the uncertainty, and the significant decisions you need to make every day alone.

Whether you are a founder, hired CEO, or leading a next generation family business, no one is better suited to help you navigate the complexity of leading and growing a business than other CEOs. Our groups are a small collective of non-competing CEOs who meet monthly to work on their biggest challenges and leadership, honestly, rigorously, and with genuine care. They are sitting in the same seat, they have real skin in the game and they have no agenda other than to help each other succeed.

The group doesn’t just exchange war stories or tactics, we surface the beliefs, habits, thinking, and blind spots that get in our way. The thinking that brought you to your current level of success is often what is getting in the way of what’s next. The group helps you see that and helps you evolve beyond that.

Each group meeting is built around the members of the group. They bring real issues; a hiring decision, a strategic inflection point, a manager who is not cutting it, cashflow. The group asks hard questions, shares their experiences, questions your answers, and holds a mirror that only people who have been there can hold.

You leave with more than advice. You leave with clarity, motivation, inspiration, and steps to move forward. The fact that members stay for 13 years, 9 years, 5 years, etc. is not because they have nothing better to do, but because they can’t imagine not having this kind of support.

“This group has changed the way I perform as a business owner. Using the tools and experiences I gained through my membership I have doubled the size of my business and bettered my work/life balance at the same time.”

Who our CEO Group is for

Our CEO group members are talented, great at the product or service they deliver, some are self-taught and some have Ivy League MBAs. However, nothing prepares you for running and growing a small business. While members may find it hard to let go, they realize they don’t have to have all of the answers nor succeed on their own.

Most meetings are a spectator sport where 2-3 people occupy airtime and the rest sit on the sidelines and chime in occasionally. Our members don’t sit on the sidelines, they engage with each other, they collaborate, work hard, look to be challenged, challenge others, and step outside of their comfort zone.

Why do group members stay?

After joining members report:

  • Gaining a "Secret Weapon": Members explicitly state that they treat the group as a secret weapon for their business that delivers direct financial returns and accelerated growth.

  • A Pause Button: It provides a mandatory monthly pause button, forcing you to completely step away from day-to-day tactical firefighting.

  • Having an Objective Board of Directors: You get a room of peers who have absolutely no political or financial stake in your company, giving you completely unvarnished, honest feedback.

  • An Antidote to Isolation: It cures the intense psychological isolation felt at the top of an organization by providing a high-trust space to process pressure.

  • A Compounding Investment: Members view the substantial fees and time commitment as a high-return investment rather than an expense, noting that the value actually increases the longer you stay.

  • Engaging in "Vicarious Learning": Participants emphasize that they stay because of the ability to absorb critical lessons and navigate choices through the real, lived experiences of other CEOs rather than having to make the mistakes themselves.

  • Experiencing "Continuous Growth": Long-term members stay because they view the environment as an essential mechanism for "continuous growth" as a leader, noting that the return on investment compounds over time.

The real value is trusted relationships, accountability, shared experience, leadership identity, and long term context. This is a collaborative environment where strong bonds are built and members are invested in one another’s success. You don’t need to spend time in this group to get what you could get from a Ted Talk, or AI. Those tools provide options and information, we provide conviction.
